About

Why?

We live in a world where parents would rather give their child an iPad than a stick. Children spend less and less time in nature. Meanwhile, scientists are sounding the alarm: children suffer from a nature deficit! In addition to food and sleep, contact with nature is also necessary for proper development. Technology and the system in which we live make us postpone a walk in the forest until someday, and sometimes we postpone it from week to week. Children suffer from a nature deficit!

What We Do?

Our actions in project are aimed at counteracting this phenomenon. As part of the project, a forest education manual will be created containing a list of educational tools, lesson plans for primary school children and training scenarios for teachers.

The project began with a meeting of partners in November 2023, until June we will work in schools, conducting workshops and collecting feedback for the textbook. A handbook for teachers will be published in September 2024.

Financing

This project is financed by European Union funds, Erasmus + program.
